Mutual Aid Services

We work to increase people’s access to healthcare by helping them sign up for health insurance and find providers who fit their needs. In addition, we help patients find vaccines and free testing.

While sometimes difficult with COVID-19 restrictions, we accompany patients to appointments and hospital visits as requested to act as a second set of ears and advocate for our patients as needed.

At Hope’s Medic’s we fully believe in a harm reduction approach for both substance use and so many other facets of life (eg safer sex practices, staying safer during a pandemic, and protesting). Specifically for substance use, our harm reduction practices include education, needle exchange, distribution of Narcan and education about it, and connecting people with resources that fit their needs, including with those that can provide Medication-assisted treatment.

An important part of all of our services is patient education. Patients are more able to make the best decisions for themselves when they have the information they need. Thus, Hope’s Medics is committed to providing up to date health information to the community.
